Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Reports to: CEO

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced CTO to lead the technology organisation. This role is responsible for setting the technology vision, ensuring platform scalability and compliance, and delivering excellence across engineering, DevOps, data, and AI. The CTO will also oversee Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud as central enablers of the marketing and data strategy.

The role partners closely with Product to ensure technology execution aligns with product strategy and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership

• Define and execute the long-term technology roadmap.
• Own the architecture for scalability, resilience, and compliance (ISO 27001, ACL, CDR, Privacy).
• Lead DevOps, Engineering, Data, AI/ML, and core platform initiatives.
• Oversee Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud for campaign automation, data unification, and customer insights.

Engineering Delivery

• Deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance technology solutions.
• Standardise across microservices, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure seamless integration between Salesforce (Marketing & Data Cloud), partner APIs, and core platforms.
• Optimise performance, cost, and scalability across multiple systems.

Data, AI & Analytics

• Build and scale unified data infrastructure (Salesforce Data Cloud, AWS Redshift).
• Enable real-time reporting, CPA automation, and advanced segmentation.
• Deploy AI/ML models to drive conversion, personalisation, and risk management.

People & Culture

• Build and scale high-performing engineering, DevOps, and data teams across India and global offices.
• Drive a culture of accountability, ownership, and technical excellence.
• Establish KPIs and ensure delivery against business-critical SLAs.

Security & Compliance

• Lead ISO 27001, security operations, and data governance programs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across multiple service verticals.
• Strengthen identity, access, and data security across all platforms.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with leadership across Product, Operations, Revenue, and Finance to align technology with business priorities.
• Present tech strategy, risks, and progress to the board and investors.
• Represent the company in key technology and compliance forums.

Required Experience

• 15+ years in technology leadership, including 5+ years as CTO or equivalent.
• Proven track record of scaling cloud-based consumer platforms serving millions of customers.
• Expertise in:
• AWS cloud infrastructure and DevOps
• Microservices, API-first architecture, CI/CD
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud (architecture, deployment, integration)
• Data engineering, real-time analytics, BI (Redshift/BigQuery)
• Information security and compliance (ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR, Privacy)
• Experience leading distributed engineering teams across geographies.
• Exposure to fintech, utilities, telco, or marketplace domains.
