National Dark Store Head

Role Overview: The National Dark Store Head will own and drive the strategy, performance, and scalability of dark store operations across India. This role is key to ensuring seamless last-mile fulfillment, operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and team excellence. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a deep background in supply chain, retail fulfillment, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Dark Store Operations
Oversee end-to-end operations across all dark stores, ensuring standardized execution
Align regional and central teams for smooth coordination and process adherence
Inventory Management
Ensure real-time stock accuracy through robust inventory controls and audits
Prevent losses through strict SOPs and security measures
Fulfillment & Delivery
Achieve high order fill rates and OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance
Collaborate with planning teams to maintain stock availability and reduce delays
Cash & CMS Handling
Ensure strict adherence to cash handling and reconciliation protocols
Coordinate with finance and CMS partners for secure and timely cash flow
Shrinkage & Loss Prevention
Minimize damage, expiry, and shrinkage through preventive measures and team accountability
Build a culture of vigilance and compliance across operations
Expansion & New Launches
Lead operational setup for new dark stores including site readiness and team onboarding
Support rapid geographic expansion as per business goals
Efficiency & Process Improvement
Identify and resolve process bottlenecks to enhance productivity
Implement tech-led and lean solutions to drive operational excellence
Qualifications & Experience:
10+ years in warehousing, supply chain, or dark store operations
Leadership experience managing multi-location ops teams
Expertise in WMS, inventory controls, and process optimization
Strong analytical, execution, and people management skills
Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment
